Text Diff Checker
Paste two versions and see exactly what changed — added lines in green, removed in red, unchanged in grey.
Line-level, not word-level
This compares line by line, which is the right granularity for configuration files, CSV extracts, log output and code. A line with one character changed shows as one removal and one addition rather than a highlighted character, and that is usually what you want — it makes a reordered block obvious instead of drowning it in intraline noise.
Diffing contracts, configs and exports
The documents people most want to compare are the ones they can least afford to upload: two versions of a contract, a production config against a staging one, yesterday's customer export against today's. Every one of those pasted into a hosted diff tool means both versions now sit on a third party's disk. Here the comparison runs in the page, so neither version is transmitted.
Common questions
Does it compare word by word?
No, line by line. That is the more useful granularity for config files, exports, logs and code.
Does whitespace count as a difference?
Yes — a line with different leading or trailing whitespace is a different line. Run the text through the Data Reformatter first if you want to ignore it.
Are my documents uploaded?
No. Both versions stay in the page and are compared locally.
